Iran DAO – Resist.

For more than a month now protests have erupted all over Iran with Iranians going to the streets, chanting “zan, zendegī, āzādi” (“woman, life, freedom”) following the brutal murder of Jina Mahsa Amini at the hands of the Iranian morality police. Iranian women (and men) are now protesting for equality, taking off the Hijab they have been forced to wear without regard to their own choices, and cutting or shaving off their hair shouting and fighting for their freedom.

IranDAO – initiated by Maral Pourkazemi – has established itself with the help of UkraineDAO to help the people of Iran. UkraineDAO is known for having been able to raise millions of Dollars in $ETH in order to help Ukraine in the recent full-scale Russian Invasion of the country.

On September 26 the Twitteraccount of the newly emerging DAO came to life with a one worded Tweet: “Resist.” Maral and her team are currently building up their organisation in order to use blockchain technologies and crypto to help those in need. With the help of Alona Shevchenko and her team, who have been successful at using the same methods to help Ukraine, IranDAO will use Web3 to show yet again that crypto and cryptophilanthropy can help humanity in more ways than many imagine.
